Experience shows us that a good sterilizer water tank cleaning is often needed when tap water is used in autoclaves. Wire Medical uses cleaning materials recommended by Midmark and Tuttnauer. Our certified cleaning process helps us to restore your machine to factory running condition.
The type of water that you use in your tabletop sterilizer can determine what type of maintenance is needed. Using regular cheap drug store or supermarket $1 distilled water will help to prevent algae growth and corrosion repairs.
Our maintenance process follows the same procedures that have passed CMS and FDA inspections in Orlando area hospitals. This preventative maintenance process involves two inspections per year. The first inspection provides deep cleaning of the water system. During this inspection, our technicians will also install manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance (PM) kits. The best part of this kit is the potential for the reduction of failed sterilization cycles. During the second PM of the year, our technicians will verify that the water being used in your sterilizer is free of dirt and algae growth. We will also verify that the rubber parts that create a safe barrier from pressurized steam are free of defects.
